About Us

Honey Rogue Design is a boutique graphic design studio. We say ’boutique’ because we are a small team and when we engage with clients, big or small, we offer them a bespoke and comprehensive creative service. We combine a highly imaginative approach with a thorough production ethic. We can deliver the most unique solutions for our customers across all facets of design; illustration, typography, print design, visual identity, brand development, marketing materials, web design and development.

Honey Rogue Design was first conceived in 2007 by founder and creative director Benjamin Hay, initially operating outside of his 9-5 capacity as Art Director/Senior Designer at TOdesign in Sydney. During these early years Honey Rogue art directed and designed creative projects for a wide range of local independent musicians, bands, management companies, artists, labels, event companies and cafés, across a diverse folio of design work.

Ben left his position at TOdesign in 2010 to concentrate on running Honey Rogue Design as a full-time creative entity, operating out of a new studio space in Newtown, Sydney.

As creative director of Honey Rogue, Ben draws from over 10 years experience working within the graphic design industry of Australia, having completed a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communications) and graduated with first class honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. Since university Ben has been employed within a wide spectrum of small and large design agencies including Emery Vincent Design (now Frost design), TOdesign/LINO Magazine and as a freelancer at The Revolution, to name a few.
